Founded in 2002, Hanksugi is a globally recognised leader in premium commercial truck tyre manufacturing, with authorised dealers in Saint John's, All Saints, Liberta, Potters Village and key locations across Antigua and Barbuda.
Our History
Founded in 2002, Hanksugi is a recognised leader in the tyre industry. Our principal manufacturing facility is consistently ranked among the four largest tyre producers in the world, and we have firmly established ourselves as a global leader in high-quality tyre production.
Hanksugi tyres incorporate cutting-edge HATT engineering and innovation. Designed with an optimised structure, they deliver robust grip, low rolling resistance and excellent wet-road handling — ideal for Antiguan haulage routes from the Sir George Walter Highway through to the rural roads linking Saint John's, Bolans and beyond. They are also recognised for outstanding durability and wear resistance, enabling longer tyre life and a highly competitive cost per kilometre.
Thanks to certifications from multiple government authorities and consistent customer satisfaction, Hanksugi is present in Antigua and Barbuda today with dealers in Saint John's, All Saints, Liberta, Potters Village and Bolans — and across more than 80 countries worldwide.

The success of our clients drives everything we do. We work closely with fleets and dealers to ensure every tyre delivers maximum value and performance.
Certifications
Hanksugi commercial truck tyres are certified by government authorities across the Americas, Europe and beyond. Each certification confirms compliance with local safety, quality and performance standards for commercial vehicle tyres.
Low rolling resistance verified by the EPA, delivering fuel savings of 3–6%. Required by leading US carriers for compliance with the SmartWay Transport Partnership.
Hanksugi's own certification of low-emission manufacturing processes and compound formulation. Carbon footprint reduced across the entire service life of the tyre.
Laboratorio Tecnológico del Uruguay. Mandatory safety and quality testing for all commercial tyres sold in Uruguay. Confirms compliance with load index, speed rating and durability requirements.
Norma Oficial Mexicana. Mexico's mandatory safety standard for tyres (NOM-086-SCFI), governing load capacity, speed rating, tread wear and labelling of all commercial truck tyres imported and sold in Mexico.
ECE R54 type approval for commercial vehicle tyres. Mandatory for sales in all 27 EU member states and EEA countries. Covers load/speed performance and noise emissions.
Ecuador's national standards body (Instituto Ecuatoriano de Normalización). Certifies that commercial truck tyres meet the safety and quality requirements of RTE INEN 011 for the Ecuadorian market.
Brazil's National Institute of Metrology (Instituto Nacional de Metrologia). Mandatory tyre certification (Portaria INMETRO 544) testing tread wear, handling, temperature resistance and structural integrity. Required for all tyres sold in Brazil.
EU chemical safety regulation (EC 1907/2006). Guarantees zero restricted substances in tyre compounds. Mandatory across all EU member states.
Independent German testing authority. Verifies structural integrity, high-speed resistance and load capacity under controlled laboratory conditions.
Argentina's National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI). Mandatory tyre safety certification (CHAS scheme) testing dimensional compliance, load resistance and high-speed performance in line with Mercosur standards. Required for all tyres sold in Argentina.
